University of Florida Health
Heart & Vascular and Neuromedicine Hospital

Designed for a patient-centric experience, the University of Florida Health’s Heart and Vascular Neuromedicine Hospital combines comfort with state-of-the-art technology.

Coordinating closely with project partners, the lighting design creates an engaging facility for patients while promoting healing and science. Lines of light provide accent and wayfinding. Elegant pendants serve as visual cues for visitor and staff interaction. The majority of the building uses a 3500K lamp color to coordinate with warm finishes and create a hospitality feel.

A backlit “glass box” provides a warm glow into the space and introduces elements of scale. Several mock-ups were coordinated to capture all details and prevent issues during final construction. The dining areas offer exterior views and a terrace to dine and relax. Ceiling-mounted lighting serves as a point of interest to stimulate visitors and offer ambiance. A sanctuary space was designed for comfort and respite, while the executive area supplies cutting-edge technology yet minimalism.
