The Forge: Lemont Quarries is a state-of-the-art adventure park delivering unique year-round outdoor activities for all ages and experience levels. In addition to zip-lining, climbing, and ropes course activities, the property features an outdoor performance stage, restaurant/bar, bonfire area, biking trails and pump track, kids zone, and meeting areas for group retreats.

Pivotal’s lighting design reflects the park’s dedication to preserving the landscape by using simple forms that blend into the surroundings and limiting freestanding lighting locations. Pivotal utilized low illumination levels to maintain the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area's natural park setting.

In creative mounting configurations, standard industrial luminaires brighten rough quarried stone surfaces, guiding visitors to primary entry points and providing accent illumination throughout the park. This approach is visually impactful, honors the quarry’s industrial history, and gives aesthetic priority to natural surfaces over the light fixtures themselves.

Rising high above the trees, the ropes course towers serve as a trademark feature, and color-changing flood luminaires at the base of each structure transform the towers into vibrant landmarks visible throughout the property at night. Quad-chip red-green-blue-white LED luminaires with on-board control ensure smooth color mixing and color quality without costly control wiring over long distances.
